I said goodbye to this throw blanket today. I’m so happy it will now be used and hopefully loved rather than languishing in my cupboard. I have a confession to make though - I was never happy with this border when I did it. It was so wavy! At the time I did it and re-did it so many times I just got fed up and put up with it. I said to myself if I ever sold it I would frog it and fix it. So that’s what I did yesterday! But I forgot to account for all the ends from the half squares that had been sewn into the border 😖 so I spent the better part of last night undoing them all. If you are ever unsure if you sew your ends in well enough just try to frog them - that will show you! And I sew my ends in VERY well 🤣🙈! So today was a mad day of redoing five rounds on a large throw blanket then resewing in all the ends. I finished with 5min to spare! 😅 I chose to redo it, I’m sure the recipient wouldn’t have cared, but the end result was perfect and I am so happy I reworked it. Pattern is #spinyourgrannysquareblanket with border variation. 2HDC base round, then four rounds of 2HD into space between 2HDCs in round below. Final round is SC,CH1,SC into the V between 2HDC, then SS into the space between. I used 6mm hook for the blanket and used 5mm hook for the border
